summer is winding down, school is starting up again in about 2 weeks. I'm a bit apphrensive about it but I've been looking forward to regular school since summer school started. I'm ready to face all the challenges this coming semester has to offer. I'm a full time student with 14 units , president of KP , and volunteering in the Counseling Center. I know that I'm putting myself under ALOT of pressure, but when i think about it this is just practice for when i eventually and hopefully transfer to a UC. But I've already worked out my time management and i feel good about it. Unfortunatly , my busy schedule makes it almost impossible to get a job, which i am needed because i need money and i need to start saving money when i transfer. Hopefully after Fall semester, I can chill for a little but and find a managable part time job. I'm really excited about my 2nd year of college because i know that after this year, next fall i can apply for transfer. I'm really excited about that and even though i love smc and the environment, i'm itching to go to a BIG school with lost of school spirit, because I've been in small private school all my life and even though smc population wise is big its definitly not a university and i just wanna get that university experience

my godparents( who both founded UCI's Kababayan ) came over to KNL prac.
to like discuss having KNL dance for my godsisters wedding.
so that was coool . i havent seen them since foreverrrr.

and then they came over to our house.
and my parents and them catched up.
and they were talking about that whole thing where this guy who was also at UCLA
at the time keeps telling people that HE founded Samahang.
but really he had nothing to do with Samahang and he was a foreign exchange graduate student when my parents were there.
and its such a small issue , but they can't understand why he would change history over something so miniscule as that.
and my godparents were like maybe he founded UCLA's GRADUATE students fililipino club PAGASA.
but then my dad was like no , i founded PAGASA.
so wtf ? my dad CO-FOUNDED SAMAHANG and PAGASA..
everything comes fulll circle .
and me and my brother are again under my parents shadow.
its nice having parents that were so involved then and even now they are.
but it sucks because if me and my brother were to do something.
our parents have already done it.
but im not in my parents shadow when i dance.
which keeps me wanting to do it.

so after celebrating my good grades after never having as great grades before.
i think im setting myself up for failure.
cause like when th UC's see my transcripts
they'll see how well i did when i was a freshmen.
and then if i get like 3.5 or whatever next time.
they'll see that i faltered. = [
mann , i really don't want that to happen.

so for engish and math for intercession.
i have to get an A and a B
to keep my gpa up .
i know i can do it.
i hope i can.

wednesday : Music 1 Fundamentals of Music @ 3:30-6:30
thusday: Counseling 20 ( its just a potluck and a movie . = D love that class ) @ 9 am
and then 12pm-3pm : math 84 final

then KP Banquet in the valley = D
no idea what time though..

next monday
english 21a final @ 12 pm sharp!

and then transferred to UCLA
omgosh she must be super smart
because even though she's in the UC system already
its pretty hard to do intercampus transfering
since she's competing with community college students too.

and alex h. was going to santa monica college.
dieter is at a community college.

so i took my counseling 20 final /midterm or whatever.
and i totally fucked up on the short answer questions. lmao
i took that for granted.
at first i was really disappointed.
but then , when it comes on the report card
its just says A . so if my percentage goes down a little ( hopefully ) it won't have an affect.
and i got a 93 on my last major project. mucho disappointment.= [
i should have done another extra credit. hmm , maybe i can .

so im changing my major again..
well i guess the degree i mean.
so instead of getting the Bachelor of science in anthropology.
im going to get the BA.
cause thinking about it realistically ,
if i got for the B.S
im going to be at smc forever.
or since i really want to get out , i'll be rushing to transfer.
and i've been thinking i want to do a double major.
so anthropology and asian american studies.
that sounds like a good combination and think i can do it.

so i didn't pass my common essay exam , which sucks.
but im over it . my teacher was really supportive and told my class that alot of us didnt deserve to get 2 and that our papers
were actually really good but those teachers were being bitches.
so helloooo smc for english 21b and math 31

i finallly scheduled my classes.
after days and days of revisions

monday-wednesdays : english 1- 11:15-12:35
math 20 - 3:15-5:50

tuesdays/thursdays: psych 1 - 9:30-10:50
anthropology 2 - 12:45-1:50

im happy with it i think
i just need to think where i can fit in peer mentoring for counseling 20
and having time to do KP stuff.
so i might move psych 1 to 8 am.
only 5 more days till i can finallly register.
hopefullly the teachers i got aren't all taken or that will fuck everything up.
